, making online shopping even easier

One of the most common questions I get asked by women needing help with their wardrobes is “where do you buy your clothes?” and for me the answer is always “online” which triggers the follow up question “But where?”

The answer to that question is made all the simpler by Lyst.  If you haven’t heard of them you soon will, I like to think of them as the Yellow Pages for fashion.  A fairly young tech company established in 2010, Lyst partners with the world’s biggest hitters in the fashion industry, from affordable streetwear to luxury brands, collating them all into one easy to access website.  In fact, they have over 11,000 retailers on board!

So to explain how I use Lyst just follow me through my next purchase.  I’m after a little black dress suitable for a dinner date next month.  Something classy, flattering, modest and on trend.  Instead of sifting through bookmarks of all the online stores that I frequent looking for that perfect dress or fighting my way through the shopping centre, I head to Lyst, and search by dresses under their clothing section.  The search results will literally return thousands of results so I can narrow it down to specifying some of my parameters including dress colour, size, style, brand etc.

The last thing to do is trawl!  Scroll through the hundreds of options and save the ones that take your fancy so that you can come back and shortlist even further.  The options range from fast affordable fashion to luxury brands, some heavily discounted.  Once you have made your selection simply click on the item and Lyst will redirect you to the site where you can purchase directly.

Here are the LBDs on Lyst that I’ve shortlisted for my own purchase… now to choose the winner!
