One thing that I’m not so good at is combining different prints so today’s outfit is somewhat of an experiment for me. I wanted to go for a look that was not clashing or too obvious.
Here are my tips:
1. Select stripes of the same scale. This will add consistency to the outfit, attributing to the appearance of a dress rather than two separate garments
2. You generally want to keep the same colour stripe across your outfit. While my stripes are different colours the the black and while palette is the same.
Furthermore, throw a knit jumper around your shoulders or waist to instantly dress down your look for something a little more weekend appropriate. Not to mention the jumper makes for excellent camouflage should you have conceived a food baby over the course of lunch/dinner.
