Being pregnant does not mean you have to be unstylish (though style gets a backseat to comfort these days) however you will need to make some amendments to your regular style. Take for example the staple office combination of blouse and pencil skirt. Normally I would pair a blouse tucked into a high waisted skirt offering a clean silhouette and accentuating the waistline. Since I no longer own a waistline of any kind I’ve had to make some adjustments here and there on to how to restyle my existing wardrobe to fit my changing body.
Skirts with plenty of stretch and an elastic waist get the thumbs up throughout maternity. I tend to wear mine super high over my bump and while it looks incredibly unflattering, by teaming with a loose fitting, untucked blouse it camouflages your belly and your “Harry Highpants” situation!
