The only great thing about this unpleasant weather is that we get to wear fabulous boots. Not only are they classy and sexy but also incredibly warm and comfortable. There’s only one problem, boots are the most difficult item of clothing to buy bar none! Either always too tight or too loose, it’s near impossible to find one that moulds to the contours of your calf.
For my non-existent calves, boots just do not fit at all, with my legs looking more like they are stuck in oversized plumbing pipes. If I do find a pair near enough it’s good enough and I pad them out with leg warmers and explorer socks. These beauties however fit like a dream. Snug around the entire length of the calf I can even wear them bare legs and a skirt. So I say, if the shoe fits buy two pairs!! So tempted as it took me 3 years to find a fit so good!
I think all this cold weather is finally bringing out my monochrome side with my next 3 outfit posts lacking any real colour. I picked up this “mono-block” blouse at the current 50% off sales at Target. It’s so chic in it’s simplicity and easy to wear in almost all situations. Today I’ve team it with some wet look tights and of course my brand new boots. To add some texture I’ve finished off with a chunky knit coat-igan for some softness.
