Tight Ass Tuesday – As the leaves turn

Happy Tight Ass Tuesday and today is all about celebrating Canberra in Autumn.  The pockets of colour around our capital are absolutely breathtaking, from the bright reds, golds, browns to the acorns clogging up Canberra guttering.  Last weekend was simply gorgeous, blue skies and sunshine.  It was just a fabulous time to be frolicking around outdoors after being held prisoner by uni assignments and a cold for the last week.  Simple things like fresh air and sun on your face is so underrated for rejuvenating the soul!

This sheer skirt is the perfect complement for the season and I love the way it catches the light in these photos.  I picked it up from one of my favourite online destinations for discount clothing Choies and have teamed with a simple black skivvy and black peeptoe ankle booties by Tony Bianco.

I never win anything so imagine my excitement when I won this pair of Ashtyn heels which I had been pining after for months!  (Thanks to the Valentine’s Day giveaway by fellow blogger Bam It’s Joanna in conjunction with Styletread.  That’s why I can include them in my Tuesday budget outfit!)
Peeptoe ankle booties are all the rage this season and while they are amazingly beautiful they are also hugely impractical for when it gets really cold… And no, don’t even think about wearing them with stockings!!

I’ve added a statement necklace to my outfit in order to break up the blockiness of the top and also add a bit of flair.
