Alice Be Curious Summer Fashion Soiree

How great is the word “soiree”?
Anyway, back onto the fashion soiree I attended last night which was a celebration of all things fashion hosted by the amazing DeeJay Jukic from Alice Be Curious (ABC) – previous post on the amazing little Canberra based boutique here.

The show was relatively small and intimate with a showing of 3 different collections (two by ABC and one by local label Dissonance).  ABC previewed some seriously wearable outfits that are currently sold in her New Acton store while Annette Clarke of Dissonance showcased an artistic collection of unique structured monochrome pieces.

I kept a photo diary to give you a “behind the scenes” peek at what goes into such an event.  5 minutes of catwalk magic is the result of stress, hard work and more stress.  My biggest congratulations to DeeJay (in conjunction with Playground Bar, Anton’s Hair Studio, Dissonance, Canberra Makeup Academy and all other participants) for pulling off such an amazing show.

Yes I am wearing gym gear with heels, I was too lazy to change after my class!

Runway shoes!  Tony Bianco’s on the left and Lucy in the Sky’s on the right.

Catwalk day and it’s backstage madness.  Canberra Makeup Academy girls hard at work.

I love standing next to models, it’s the only time I don’t look enormous!
