Fashion – Not really my boyfriends jeans

Nothing beats boyfriend jeans for a just threw these on look that is effortlessly chic and comfortable which seek compliments that have you replying “why these old things?”  I generally only wear BF jeans with heels as the generously fitting jeans are in the high risk category of being frumpy if not jazzed up in some form.  I find that a pair of heels will bring them back from these are actually my boyfriends jeans* to the on trend denims favoured by the likes of Rosie Huntington Whitely, Aimee Song and Rachel Bilson.
* My partner is 6ft 7 and the thought of me actually borrowing his pants would be quite a comical sight!

Also if anyone is wondering what’s with the bandage on my left ankle it is completely self inflicted.  I’m currently undergoing tattoo removal and the healing process is quite grisly.  Better kept out of sight when in public!

Knit vest – thrifted
Distressed white leather belt – thrifted
Boyfriend jeans by Zara
Puffinburger clear panel bag by Aldo
Two tone pumps with ankle strap by New Look

Also in this post I’m debuting my new Aldo clear panel bag.  I’ve had to keep the content minimal and non-personal.  Most of the time I’d have a crumpled up tissue or three at the bottom of my bag but not today!  Great thing about the bag though is that I can check my text messages without even opening the bag!

Just for fun, below is a sneak peak at a behind the scenes test shot at what I was REALLY wearing prior to taking the blog photos!  Forget boyfriend jeans, it’s all about the boyfriend ski jacket!  Though I sometimes like to dress like it’s not, Canberra is the perfect temperature for chilling your beer at this time of year!
