Sample boxes are finally starting to hit Australian shores after being a huge success overseas. Gone are the days in which “try before you buy” involved peeling the tester satchel out of a magazine. Sampling companies are finally offering Australian subscribers boxes of beauty samples filled with testers and sometimes full size products. This service is not free ($14.95 p/mth) however the benefits of trying a wide range of products could save you heaps in the long run and help you find your next favourite beauty product.
Biolage Shampoo and Conditioner
The shampoo was nice however the conditioner still left my hair quite knotty unless I used twice as much. I would consider buying this again.
Thanks to being in sneakers for 1 hour a day my feet are in fairly good condition this winter and I have no need for this so haven’t tested it yet. Anyone want to take this off my hands and test for me?
Mirenesse Lip Gloss
Mirenesse Velvet Lip Lift Moisture Shine is a self-renewing glossy colour, micro collagen instant lip plumper, and long-term lip treatment in one. The gloss did not plump my lips but I’ve found that no plumper has ever had any sort of effect of me. I found the colour quite sheer (which I like) and the gloss kept my lips velvety soft and moist for hours without re-application, and the packaging is very luxe – My favourite sample from the pack and will definately purchase again.
Avene makeup remover
This is a more gel-like consistency rather than liquid and has passed the test of removing skanky clubbing makeup while drunk. Added bonus is that bottle was lovely – Will definately purchase again.
I found nothing spectacular about this product and don’t have issues with wrinkles… yet! Would not purchase again.
